TCL were instructed to carry out a Pre-Acquisition Building Survey of an apartment within the attractive Grade 2 Listed former hotel building, Thornton Place, in the the sought after area of Clapham Common North Side. This was the second survey carried out by TCL within the same building, where due to our specialist knowledge of historic buildings we were able to provide a bespoke building survey report assisting the Client with their understanding of certain defects, maintenance requirements and unique implications they will face in terms of owning a building of such historic importance that warrants the Grade 2 Listed status. Our report enabled the Client to reduce their original agreed offer price to account for the identified defects and provided them with the necessary confidence and comfort to proceed with their acquisition.
